Choice Food of America began in 1972 as a facility for Mike Rose Foods. Over the years our business has gone through several changes, but our dedication to excellence is the same. Our location at 189 Spence Lane in Nashville has also been home to Shoney's, Levmark Holdings, and J.W. Childs.

Through it all, our capabilities continued to grow, as did our recognition in the foodservice and food manufacturing industries. Most recently, we served as a production facility for Portion Pac, a division of H.J. Heinz.

In 2006, we joined the Choice Food Group, a portfolio of food manufacturing and distribution companies that includes the former Nashville Egg, Inc., and Gibson Food Products. Our operations were renamed Choice Food of America, Inc., and remain at the original manufacturing and storage facility near downtown Nashville.

Another established company to join the Choice family in 2006 was Vietti Foods, a USDA-certified supplier of chili, stews, pastas, soups, and other shelf-stable prepared foods, with a history of excellence dating back to 1898. Vietti distributes over 15 retail brands to North America and Europe, and serves consumers through ViettiChili.com.

Diversity Brands is the newest member of the Choice Food Group. A marketing and licensing arm with majority Hispanic ownership, Diversity Brands is a platform for companies and brands seeking to increase their share of the U.S. multicultural market.

Our relationship with Choice Food Group gives our customers:

  • Added exposure to a network of national distributors,
  • Access to a seasoned management team with over 70 years' combined industry experience, and
  • Extensive capacity with over 270,000 square feet of consolidated manufacturing and storage space.
